Colorado Gold
Photography and driving have always had a similar meaning for me, a chance to see places I would never have dreamed of visiting before. For years I would watch old episodes of Top Gear, wishing I could visit those exotic locations. This fall I had the chance to do just that when I found myself driving through the twists and turns of the Million Dollar Highway, one of the most beautiful and dangerous drives in the world surrounded by golden aspens as far as the eye could see. A 1000+ foot straight drop to the valley below only feet from the road, and no guard rails, my heart pounded as I raced through the switchbacks up the San Juans to capture this cloud inversion.
