Perseverance
There are times when I need to go back to a location more than once to capture the conditions I envision in my head. After clear blue skies the first morning, and fog so thick you couldn’t see 6 feet in front of you the next morning, I was rewarded on the third day. When I saw the skies begin to open after a storm and the sun shining through, I knew this was my chance. I jumped in the car and drove as fast as I could, worried that the sky might close again and the moment would be lost forever. I was greeted with a scene beyond my wildest imagination, peak foliage, the sun streaming down from behind the clouds, and birds encircling Mt. Sneffels. Moments like this are what I dream of.
