Twilight Whispers
As the last light faded and the first stars came out in the Eastern Sierras, a chill ran through the air. Although it was June, at almost 8000 feet above sea level it felt more like December. Only made worse by the fact that only hours earlier I had been driving north from Death Valley at close to sea level. But as the scene the fact that I was freezing didn’t seem to matter. I was too focused on the beauty that lay before me.
